After careful consideration, we are announcing today the cancellation of the 12th Annual Golfology for Cardiology (GFC) Pro-Am due to the unknown future status of the COVID-19 pandemic. The players, pros, sponsors and volunteers make GFC a unique event, but in conducting the tournament with safety in mind, our decision is the right direction to take during this uncertain time. The University of Kansas Health System is committed to safety and cancelling the tournament this year is the best way to ensure we all are safe. GFC will be back!

Although the tournament is being cancelled, we still hope to raise funds to benefit the Center for Advanced Heart Care. Patients with pre-existing heart conditions are some of the most vulnerable of COVID-19 patients, and the Center has played a vital role in treating COVID-19 patients at the University of Kansas Health System. The funds raised through your generous donation will go toward advanced cardiac imaging equipment and the nurse navigation program.
Cardiovascular medicine is the cornerstone of excellent patient care—from cancer patients to ortho to internal medicine—all patients at the health system require the most up to date cardiac treatments in order to care for the whole patient, no matter what the disease or diagnosis. Now, in the middle of the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, advanced imaging is used to help treat COVID-19 patients that are cared for in the Health System. With all capital resources on hold, The University of Kansas Health System needs the support of its generous partners in philanthropy in order to ensure patients are provided with the best in class care.
We thank you in advance for donations received to support Golfology fore Cardiology to continue our commitment to the advancement for heart health care.
